I designed this story based on a Japanese folk tale. It's about an Empress who
finds a baby in her garden and raises the baby as her own. As the baby grows up, she meets her future husband, and with time they become friends. Faced with a decision, the future husband has to decide between being with or without her.

The inspiration for this piece came from the video game Dragon Age and the
work of Alphonse Mucha. The woman in this illustration represents life re-growing after the harsh winter.

The reason behind this painting is that my cousin was feeling down and I
wanted to cheer her up. When I was visiting her I took photos and made a list of the things she likes.
